Why I support Bird Tricks products...

In my work as a parrot behavior consultant, I'm often asked if I teach parrots to do tricks. Although I could tell owners how to teach their birds to do tricks, that's not really my goal when working with someone. That said, I do believe that the time and effort involved in trick training is a good way to build and strengthen your bond with your bird. Parrots want and need activity, both mental and physical, and tricks are a good addition to a parrot's normal routine.

The products offered at www.birdtricks.com use effective, proven and safe training methods designed to provide you and your bird a pleasant training experience. The folks at Bird Tricks are committed to helping parrot owners create a better world for their pets. From basic training and confidence building, to tricks like "the wave" and "eagle", you not only are giving your bird something to think about, but you'll gain a better understanding of how he thinks and learns. There are many DVDs, CDs and e books available to meet your needs, all using techniques that focus on building trust and minimizing fear. This is a sample of available courses:

Main Training Course
Small Parrots
Speech Training
Toy Program

Bird Tricks customers receive a free half hour phone consultation with me, so I've talked directly with the people who've used these products successfully. Customers are very pleased with the information and help they've gotten. Everyone agrees that if you put in the time and make the effort, you will see positive results. And that's a key point: You have to put something into it to get something out of it. There are no magic quick fixes to having a well-adjusted, loving parrot. Learning what to do and what not to do may not come naturally, but there are tools available to teach you so you can teach your bird.
